The entrepreneurial landscape in Nepal is evolving rapidly, and the key to sustaining this momentum lies in the synergy between educational institutions and the venture ecosystem.
At Mauri Ventures, we are incredibly excited to announce a major milestone in this mission: the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the TBC Incubation Center at The British College (TBC). This strategic partnership is designed to turn the classroom into a launchpad for the next generation of Nepali changemakers.
A Partnership Built on Growth
This collaboration isn’t just about a signed document; it’s about creating a sustainable pipeline for talent and innovation. Through this MoU, Mauri Ventures and TBC will focus on three core pillars:
- Mentorship: Connecting students with seasoned industry professionals to refine their business models and leadership skills.
- Internships & Placement: Providing real-world experience within the Mauri Ventures network, ensuring students are “market-ready” upon graduation.
- Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: Fostering a culture where student-led startups receive the guidance—and potentially the seed investment—needed to scale.
Kicking Off with “Startup Quest”
To celebrate the signing, we didn’t just exchange folders; we hit the ground running. We recently hosted the first Startup Quest at The British College campus.
The energy was electric. Students stepped up to the podium to pitch diverse ideas, ranging from tech-driven solutions to social enterprises. It was a high-stakes, high-reward environment where students received immediate feedback from industry experts, bridging the gap between academic theory and venture reality.
Why This Matters
For Nepal to thrive in the global digital economy, we must invest in our greatest asset: our youth. By integrating The British College’s academic excellence with Mauri Ventures’ market expertise, we are creating a “safe space” for innovation where failure is a lesson and success is a scalable business.
“Our goal is to ensure that every student with a brilliant idea has the mentorship and the platform to turn that idea into impact.”
Looking Ahead
This is only the beginning. As we look toward the future, Mauri Ventures remains committed to identifying and nurturing homegrown talent. We are proud to work alongside the TBC Incubation Center to ensure that the “Innovators of Tomorrow” have everything they need to start today.
Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming workshops, pitch sessions, and success stories from this collaboration!
